I've also got one of them on order. And I've 'only' got a gtx 580. Which will run the Samsung fine. So with your 7970 of gtx 680. It'll definitely be more than enough!

You can get HDMI to DVI cables and adapters, seeing how the monitor doesn't have a speaker (built-in), you would have to route the sound via a speaker system.
