Best 120mm fan?

In a nutshell you'll get what you pay for. For huge tower coolers, £10-13 fans are the best match for your chassis (around the cooler area, like the roof and rear) but if you're after rad fans then you want the highest rpm fans like Gentle Typhoons which will run you about £17-£18 a peice. If you're running a stock cooler and just want to keep the airflow safe, a pair of £1-3 fans, one at the front, one at the back will be best.

Gentle Typhoons 1850 cost only 11,63£ , but for noctua nf-f12 16,94£. For 18-19£ you can have CRAZY fast 3000rpm GTs, but for me this fans are bit toooooo fast and toooooo loud.

I would look at either the Noctua NF-F12 or Bitfenix spectres/pro's, all great fans and quiet.

noctua NF F 12 if u are willing to pay that little xtra

altho if u don't want to pay that much their are cheaper alternatives

but that i don't know what to suggest

Bitfenix spectre pro are not as good as nf-f12 mate. I will say that they are good case fans, but they not perform the best on radiators. But they looks really nice.

I agree, I didn't see what they were for, I would say the Noctuas and the Bitfenix's are different, both in pricing and performance. I was basing my suggestions on them being used as case fans, but I must say the Bitfenix Spectre/pro's look really good if you like LED fans, the LED's aren't overpowering but light a case up well.

Just to add if you want completely silent fans go for the Bitfenix Spectres, however if you want better performance and don't mind them being slightly audiable I would go with the Spectre Pros.

If the fans were being used on radiators I would suggest Noctua Nf-F12's, Scythe Gentle Typhoons or Akasa Apache's.

Hi Robotdinosaur what case have you got and have you got any rad's / H100 fited?

I'm getting the fractal design Define R3. No watercooling so just case fans for my chassis not rad's

GT's are pointless for case fans, they're much more suited to rads. What you want is silent case fans that shift a lot of air. The Noctua NF-S12B FLX are great for this, the Bitfenix Spectres and the Akasa Apaches (although they're good for rads too) are all good case fans. No point putting noisy fans in a silent case, it defeats the purpose of the case.

EDIT: The new Be Quiet Silent Wings 2 fans are another set of fans to consider

Hi Robot..., you might want to try config 1: 2x stock fan's in the front (intake) with 2x noctua p14flx in the top(exhausts), config 2: 2x stock fan's in the front (intake), 2x noctua p14flx in the top (exhausts), 1x noctua s12b flx in the back (exhausts) with a s12b uln in the door (intake), or config 3: 2x noctua p12 (3pin) in the front (intake), 1x noctua p12 (3pin) in the bottom (intake), 2x noctua p14flx in the top (exhausts), 1x noctua s12b flx in the back (exhausts) with a s12b uln in the door (intake). As long as the static pressure coming in is higher then the pressure going out you should be ok. Hope this is of some help

Oh and the noctua nh-d14 might be a good idea

I think that you should go for 1850rpm its A15 model. Im using 10 of them in my system and its really really really quiet, but you need to use a fan controller, cuz its no point of having them on 100% I think that I have my on 45%.

@Robotdinosaur If you going for R3 I guess that you going to have a silent rig so you should go for fans like noctua nf-p12 or Bitfenix Spectre, or you can go for fractral design fans( I heard that they are very silent).

I may be getting a Corsair Special Edition Graphite Series 600T White instead, Any recommendations on fans for this case? or are they pretty much going to work the same?

They'll work the same, obviously the 600t doesn't have soundproofing so bare that in mind, as long as you get quiet fans it'll be good. I'm getting the 600t also, planning on getting all spectre pro fans w/ led, look nice when it's done.

The 600t has 200mm fan in the front, any recommendations on a replacement?

the bitfenix spectre pros r great 200mm fans and the Antec big boys r awesomw too

have in mind that a 200mm fan or bigger performs better than 2 120mm fans and surely quieter!!!!
