I've decided to wait for the BenQ XL2420TX but have no idea when I can expect it to be available in Canada. I've seen the XL2420T on NewEgg.ca but I would prefer the TX with 3D Vision 2.

Is there anywhere else I can purchase this monitor?

Do you think it would be better to buy the XL2420T right now and the 3D Vision2 kit separately? Does anyone know if the IR sensor is better when attached to the monitor or when using the hub thing that comes with the kit?

Shouldn't be any different betwen using a separate IR emitter and the integrated one.

Thank you for the reply.

I'm still undecided on taking the risk with the VG278H or waiting to get the smaller BenQ. Are the backlight problems as bad as I've read?

i purchase the t version less than a week ago, very little backlight bleed,, very even! no blobs. fantastic monitor to say the least. i havn't tryed the 3d yet as i need to buy the emitter and glasses, but im not to bothered with that yet until i upgrade my gpu(thats awhile away tbh) i really purchased it for the 120hz which in itself is awesome.

I decided that I was more into the 27" 120Hz and took the risk with the VG278H.

With the XL2420T you don't have the ability to take advantage of HDMI 3D devices such as a PS3 or Bluray player. That and not having Vision 2 glasses is the only differences.

Good luck with your new VG278H
