Benefits of flashing the gpu BIOS?

As some of you already know that I recently purchased an EVGA GTX 780 SC ACX. I have been looking online about flashing with custom BIOS and was wondering if anyone here has done it in the past and what benefits they gained and if there's any risks involved?

I am the kind of person who does things out of curiosity and well just boredom.

flashing the firmware of the card runs the risk of bricking your card, either if you use the wrong bios or if anything goes wrong.

your risk will be reduced if your card is a two/dual bios card but as far as i'm aware your card isn't.

benifits could be that you can increase the voltage of your card (removing voltage limits of stock bios) and changing stock clocks.

i HIGHLY reccomend that you DO NOT do this, the 780 is an epic and expensive card to risk for such unneeded exercise.

Thanks for the advice, watsyerproblem. I will leave it on stock BIOS and you're correct about the dual BIOS. Mine doesn't have it. It is a quick card and I can get around 1180mhz core.
