BD delayed to August/September

BD has been delayed again. I can't believe it. I was hoping for a June 7th release, but that wasn't meant to be. They've run into problems again w/ the current B1 stepping.

This was announced a couple of weeks ago, I read somewhere else but i can't remember where that there may be further delays.

agree with you ruthless_villain, however this is not looking good for AMD in the eyes of the public.

Well the longer they delay the closer it'll be to the Intel 2011 release, so I'd say it's in their best interests to get these BD cpu's out asap. But having said that you want the cpu's to be as perfect as possible, with no glitches, they wont want a launch like Intel had with their SB chipset balls up.

The last time I checked, the release date was June 7th... then I found the update. hope AMD gets it together and releases BD before Intel releases LGA 2011.Being late and not being the best, at least for the moment, will be bad for AMD. By the same token though, AMD does need to make sure there are no bugs/glitches/performance problems pre-release. Hopefully, this is fixed with the B2 stepping.

I personally think AMD are doing a brilliant job, considering they are about 1/20th of the size of intel and their cpu's are cheaper they still offer very good performance maybe not the best but you arent paying for the best so if they take their time and get this new tech right then it will be very good for them in the long run so they should take their time tbh

I can't keep up with all these updates. No sooner have you upgraded, you are 6 months away from another major upgrade lol

Haha Yeah, It's not as bad as it used to be.

People these days don't seem to shop for quality as much as they do bang for their buck with 3 years warranty they tend not to stress about the quality and Intel are good quality, I think AMD will be hurt by being close to 2011 sockets release, Intel will have released enough 1155's to drop the price then with Ivy Bridge coming out in Jan 2012 will make it worse. There seems to be nothing new that AMD is bringing to the table except a performance upgrade.

But into is bringing PCI-e 3.0 to the table and would be a big attraction to buyers.
