battlefield 2 server

we're looking for Ranked servers only... i mean whats the pont of having a non-ranked server... we want to get them guns dont we lads / lassies??
and yes it wants to be a UK server at least... and 32 player... unless we get a few people to admin and pay the share for 64
but we're defo in the stage of looking and hoping to rent one...
also was looking at EA servers and it says this "
Now Offering BF2 Ranked servers in both US & Europe - only $8 per slot" (works out at around £5 a slot, which is crap!)

I doubt your going to find a cheap 32man server mate, that would need either a whole A64 to itself (lower chips such as 3000,3200 etc) or a large portion of a dual xeon / opteron, I would say if you can get it for less than £2 /slot then your luck (or the host is just plain crap 
) you certainly wont find ranked servers in the UK / most of europe for less than what MPuK are selling them for, from what I can see they must make little profit from the servers (when you consider that a 32man server is going to use 4-5Mbit of traffic + hardware whorage + paying staff + profit)
However, that said if you want, I’ll see if we have space to fit you on for a trial on our network, once again, it would be an unranked server tho - however, you can get legit weapon unlocks for unranked server iirc

well, Daz was on about renting one from MP today... think we're gonna do that... BUT will keep you in mind... thanks mate
ok a update... Daz n' meself are officially getting a MP 32 player ranked server within 2 weeks. With or without this other person...
Plans / Rules for the server are as follows (and more added or changed when and if we feel like it
)
3 counts and ya BANNED - in other words if ya cheat, try to kick people without a reason, or any other reasons to get banned then ya will....
Members of the server will have access over non-members - (still thinking about this one)
the server will run (good) maps made by people and also if requested by members
anyways thats all for now maybe add more later (any chance of having are own bit in this forum for the server lol)

ok this is the deal the MP 32 player ranked server is £210 every 3 months... we're looking for 2 - 3 people that will help us to help run and pay a share of £210 and be admin's too...
