Hi, I'm on the look for a new PC.

Is this good. It's £293.

Graphics ATi Radeon X1200 (SMA) Hard drive 750GB (7200RPM) SATA2 Memory 4GB PC2-5300 667MHz (2x2GB) Optical drive 20x DVDRW Processor AMD Phenom X3 Triple-Core 8650 2.3GHz Psu Zen Midi Tower Chassis with 520W PSU Usb 6 USB 2.0 Ports (4xRear/2xFront) Psu rating 1 x +12V Rail with 21A

I don't need it for gaming, intense processing. All I will be using it for will be browsing internet, downloading.. basic things on a PC really.. I don't do anything specialised so just bare that in mind that I don't need to game. Maybe just casual like Sims, but hardly even that.. I could even update it at a later date anyway.

I'm really unsure on whether to get it.

My budget for a PC is £300 (maybe a tad more, nothing major though), don't need monitor/keyboard, OS etc. Just the base unit.

I'd like a largish HDD. 500gb (like above) is fine. I'd prefer 4gb ram so I can use 64-bit Vista. I'd like a decent processor, I'm not clued up on them so anything which is useful for what I need it for.. my current processor is 2.01ghz and it's fine..little slow sometimes at opening several things and running but never fails for me. So something reasonably better than that.

Graphics card, doesn't matter. Like I said, I'm not using it for gaming so I won't need a good card, but something integrated will do. Always room to upgrade I suppose. :)

Little bit of help please. :)

Thanks..

Hmm when looking at your demands, budget, and the proposed specs I'd say go for it. My guess is you won't be able to find anything really cheaper and still have some punch.

It does seem good, they had 4 different systems on their website but they seem to be removed..one was £264, had faster ram (800mhz) but 2.1ghz and 500gb HD. I was planning on getting that, but it seems to have gone..so I'll have to get this.

People have said get it, so I'll go for it I think.. I'm just weary about spending money like this lol, I'd like to know it's good for the money and couldn't get any better for less..etc. ^^;

You'll get used to spending the money ^^ Unless you have to eat less because of it you will not be sorry about spending this kind of money on a rig at all. My first rig was €200 (believe it or not) and now I'm on a €1400 machine. It's really worth it ;)

Haha, noo. Just a little bit of spare Xmas money thats all. I can spend around £400 but I've already bought a £130 monitor and then with my keyboard and mouse, speakers I'll be spending close to £500 as it is so I wanna stay low budget and build the PC up. Change graphics card and then get into custom building..

:) Thanks
