Bad Displayport cable or monitor(ASUS vg248qe)?

Hi guys i recently bought new monitor its ASUS vg248qe 144hz monitor.

The problem is its either broken or the Display port cable is bad.

I have 2 monitors one is 144hz and other is normal 60hz(which is running fine no problem)

I plugged the Displayport cable to monitor also power cable.
I have two issues:
1 - monitor lights up and its says NO DVI Signal.
2 - monitor lights up and its says Asus anti-surge was triggered to protect system from unstable power supply. Then i press F1 go in/out of bios and its boots me on my second monitor.

The PC is brand new spec:
CPU: i7 6700K
Mobo: ASUS z170 PRO
HDD+SSD 16GB of RAM
GTX 1070 + 550w EVGA G2 Gold PSU

Later this day i broke the display port cable while i was trying to pull it out, the casing of the cable just broke and it flew out of my fingers....

Any ideas what is wrong here?I will reply as fast as i can. Thank you for your help/time.

If you try other type of cable in the monitor for example hdmi, does it work?

i dont have a HDMI cable available have to go to store to buy one to try it out but all shops are already closed so i have to wait till tomorow.
