AX850 query

Hey guys,

Looking at changing my powersupply to a corsair AX850 because ive just bought new GPU's.

just wanted second opinions to make sure that i have enough headroom in the PSU before i buy it.

2x EVGA GTX 670 SC Full load power draw = 296 W each (592W Both)

2500k @ 5ghz at 1.5v

Ram @1.65v

Will get a MVF when released. (Currently an AsRock Extreme 4 gen 3)

3 SSD's

Custom waterloop

Pretty much the perfect PSU for that spec fella.

Just keep in mind thats a fair amount of volts on that 2500K for a 24/7 clock

i know bud its been 100% stable so far and keeping at about 45-53 degrees on just a 240 rad, upgrading the case to cater for bigger rads to cool the gpus too,

On your profile a 1200w psu, do you? It also says you have 2 x 680's although im guessing that is just a typo

i do i have a CMgold PSU but im building my bro a comp and im gunna use that as i no longer have the need for that much wattage, and again i had the 2 680s but i sold them onto him and got the 670's and clocked them up a bit. Running a 650d atm, so with all teh cables i dont use from the CM powersupply the cable management is also a nightmare, so decided its time to go fully modular and ordered the AX850 just now with the red extensions to go with the MVF

gotta help out the family where you can mate ill give him the PSU, after the MVF that hes waiting for with me, its the last thing he needs and hes spent out enough already

I actually posted saying that you should sell it and get him a CX600 but then I remembered that he has 2 x 680's so I edited it
