absolutely Im used to it though. My GPU doesn't support much higher resolutions anyway, so it's not that bad. A lot better than my old monitor (a really old one, the big plastic box design type of monitor).

If I get the job at McDonald's I'll save up some cash and buy an epic machine at a budget of £1700 (including monitor and stuff).
I think that would feel so epic after 9 years of horror of using this piece of crap
And I'll keep the machine up to date after that

2700k with 670 And SLI a few months later.
I'm also going to use it for video editing and stuff, so the 2700k will come in handy
But maybe by the time I have the cash the GTX 770 and the haswell CPUs are out there
I think I have the cash in March next year. Maybe April or at very latest May.
But that is when I get the job

Everytime I accidentaly touch the cable the monitor turns of and makes a kind of buzzing sound from the power outlet.

You definitely need a new monitor dude. Have you tried another cable?

Update:
Finally had time to do some cable management under my desk.

I also though I might as well add inside pictures of my pc (please don't mind the cable management. I didn't build this pc and I won't bother with it now that it's more than 9 years old).

(Note to self: Don't touch that GPU heatsink. It's hot!)
