ATI finally figured out Crossfire scaling?

Just looking at some reviews and benchmarks and it looks like ATI finally nailed GPU scaling?

I know that the 4870's don't scale very well but these 6 series cards look to have beastly scaling capability, almost a solid double performance gain in some applications, that's what I'm talking about.

Looking at picking up a pair of 6870's, good choice? For less than $200 / card that seems like a great deal with the scalability.

yea, my 6990 has almost double performance in some apps than my 6970 does. Same clocks of course.

Currently running that setup and I love it for its price. Adding the second card doubled my fps in some games and allowed me to run max settings in most with out dropping below 60fps (Playing at 1680x1050). For its price i think its great, one downside is the cards is the reference designed cards are fairly loud once they speed up.
