ati driver

hi all, first post!

I was just wondering, having never owned an ATI card before and the flash-able 6950/70 becoming an option, how bad the driver issues are compared to a similar performing nvidia card.

I have heard of game crashes and having to wait for driver updates before being able to play a game at the cards full potential, is this just stuff made up by nvidia fanboys (not interested in fighting for supremacy with anyone) or is it really an issue?

Not being able to play games until new drivers are released is total bull, when the 6xxx series was first released the drivers did not offer full support for them but it did not stop you from playing games. Some people experience problems with AMD drivers just like they do with Nvidia drivers, I have used every ATI driver since 9.10 across three different cards and I have never had a problem.

People always have bad driver experiences, you almost never see people writing up about good drivers etc. because seriously who would? it's always when they are in a pickle. Drivers on both sides are pretty similar, occasional hiccup from both sides but nothing game killing.
