Was thinking of a treasure hunt race, 1st to complete wins!

Only an idea though, need to decide asap so I can get things in place tbh. Cant have it too easy or whats the point!

But again the people with lots of free time, or those who don't work many hours or none at all would have an unfair advantage.

certain forum post count would be nice so i doesnt go to a non regular tbh . like aura ... any 1 seen any pic sof it since it left oc3d?

nope, probably the biggest OC3D comp and he ran away with it :(

defo have a post count of 70 or so to enter, you mite have a hard time getting rid of pointless spam from members trying to get there posts up, but the outcome will be better as it would go to a frequent OC3D'er and we will hopefully see pics of the prize arriving ;), the last compo was great as the outcome had frequent OC3D'ers written all over it.

That's a fair argument, and I for one favor treasure hunts :D Members over 9500 posts (cough spam) would be ideal :p

But even tho it sounds nice, it's also business, and I gotta think these hunts draw a good amount of new users. I know a large % are just passers by, but a good % stick around, and hits are hits.

OC3D's hunts are very popular in and out of the forum itself, I'm not sure OC3D staff are aware, but the last bunch got some fair external linkage and news postings.

I didn't like the treasure hunts, perhaps a quiz but unlike usual, blatant hints aren't used, it would be better if users had to look through articles on oc3d for the answer.

Still get multiple answers to choose from but make it so its not obvious

how about this 1

Simply put I don't.

I'm actually getting tired of treasure hunts, even though I'm really good at them. :D

I think it should be something that contributes towards the new OC3D website.

I would agree with that, the sponsor has to be seen to get good value.

Yes, I remember you making a .doc with every single Asus article to click on each one. xD

What some of you guys dont understand is we need both entrants stats and site stats to keep the sponsors happy. Its not as simple as 'just do this' most of the time.

Well I hope I win this one.

I want one of these but I also need a processor and the lack of funds are not helping...
