ati 4850 or nivida 9800gt

This is new too me so I'm asking which would everyone here get if you where me . I'm stuck and don't know what to do so ples help me out . 1st money is low about 100 dollors. 2nd I have a /GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 MB/ with core2 duo 3.16/ 700watt ps/ runing vista64. 3rd I have a Thermalright HR-03 rev.A vga cooler I would like to use on a ati 4850 or nivida 9800 gt. What would you do ? thk you everyone which card gets the most post is what i'm going with . thks again:wavey:
 
hmm 9800 just a less power hungry 8800? out of the two i would say 4850 but personally i would spend a lil more and you would see more 'bang for buck', 4870 etc can be picked up pretty cheap so:)
 
Between the two the 4850 beats it hands down. But, in a more open mided area, I would suggest the 4870 if you are willing to stretch just as ToeJam mentioned.

All round being CUDA things? Because as far as gaming is concerned I'm pretty sure the 4850 has better fps in most games.

For a gamer I'd think post effects and physx.

If u want just raw fps, go AMD imo (especially for XP/dx9). If u want a quality, go nVidia (especially Vista/Win7/dx10+).
