Asustek rolls out 2ms 22-inch widescreen LCD monitor

As more end users find the migration to widescreen panels increasingly affordable, Asustek has released an new 2ms LCD monitor to tap into the market. If the price was competitive, could you see yourself buying the new Asus MW221U? Do you think that a 2ms response time is needed for the majority of computing tasks, or is it excessive? Feel free to comment below...

Rofl ASUSTEK's slogan is so way-gay, lollers. "Rock Solid - Heart Touching" :rollingla I'm sure its a decent monitor.
 
There seems to be alot of 22" monitors coming out recently, I bet they all use the same panel :o

The looks on that monitor arnt bad but I wouldnt choose it over my dell ;)

I don't know of many monitors I would choose over a Dell variant... Probably the only brand I would choose over Dell would be Samsung since they keep the cherry picked panels for their own displays and send all the other ones out to the other companies using the sammy panels (including dell).
 
Right now there's an Acer, Samsung, Viewsonic, Chimei, and Sceptre just released a new one (and obviously this ASUS one). The Acer, Samsung, Viewsonic, and Chimei all have the same specs so you can figure they all use the same panel. It seems that they all use a TN panel that is 6-bit dithered to 8-bit. However, the Sceptre looks to have superior specs and is possibly a true 8-bit panel. And it's just about to go on sale at Costco :)

Thanks for the link mate, I might have to replace my new 19" Sceptre with one of those when they drop, that's an awesome price. Thank god I decided to renew my Costco membership, w00t w00t!

yup, the lower the response time is the more incorrect will the colours be.

would be better to work on the overall speed instead as 2ms is completly useless as there is one update every 16.6ms when running 60hz refresh rate.

mm 22" would be nice to have.

whats the dimension of a 22" widescreen ?
 
I'd like to point out Frag that there is a possibility that this is an online deal only (unfortunately :()

Raven, why don't you just look at the specs. Sceptre's specs specifically say "473.76 mm x 296.1 mm Display Area" ;)
