Here's my tale. Playing around with lots of settings I seem to have stabilized at 45ghz on core 1 and 2, 44ghz on core 3 and 4, at 1.250V. 45Ghz on all cores requires 1.270V so I settled on splitting. With a Noctua NH-D14 for cooling under load max temp is 65C, typical idle temps are 21-23C. I tried to squeeze 46GHz out of it and stopped at 1.350V and still could not keep it stable and temps were coming close to 80C with the Noctua. I am assuming my chip maxes out at 45 with no hopes in going over that, and I am ok with that as I seem to be in the 70th percentile. I left everything else set on auto in the bios. Should I be satisfied with these numbers or any other suggestions to try and squeeze out anymore. Its more for fun at this stage to see what I can get, but it is doubtful I would notice anymore performance improvements with another 100Mhz. My rig is set up for running Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom at the same time, with the odd bit of video editing. Thanks for looking.
