Asus Xonar Drivers, PAX Type Drivers ?

Tbh I can't say I've noticed any difference, but I'm no audiophile and had no issues with the Asus ones. I'm using them just because I like to have to latest software/drivers and the asus one is quite old.

I've not tried anything like this tbh - but in my experience, the Asus software has been near enough perfect that I've not had any need to try these.

Aside from a couple of issues during the first installation, my STX has been excellent driver wise. Never crashed, every feature clearly worked etc...

I completely agree that Asus very rarely update the software for their cards. We're still on 'beta' support for Windows 8 even - and the only releases for the STX in 2013 have been beta releases (not that there's been any problem at all with them...) but you'd have still thought they'd have finalised a version by now.
