ASUS X800 PCI-Express Shader Model 3.0 ????

don't really see how asus could suddenly incorporate ps3.0 into the R420 core as simple as that but then again I couldn't see how ASUS could make a marketing hash up as big as this at the Computex 2004. I thought this would be called the X880XT as well.

On a side note do you think we will be seeing boards with PCI-E on them by August?

another trump card from the ati guys.

They really pay attention to the feedback and implement fast these guys. They must have an amazingly structured R&D division...

me want to work there :)

mabe their cheating and its a software implementation? I cant see any real differance hardware wise apart from a few cap's...
 
how could ASUS asapt ps3.0 into the R420 core though? I thought PS3.0 was going to arrive on the new R500 core.
 
It took Nvidia an extra 20m transistors or something to make their card support PS3.0.

Cant see how it can be PS3.
