Hello,
I just bought the asus vi formula, but now i can see z97 coming out. What do you think i should do? I can either return my vi formula, and get a full refund and wait for asus VII formula or just stick with what i have.

Z97 is pretty much a refined version of Z87.
A friend of mine removed the heatsink on his Z97 board ready for a water block and on the board under the heat sink it says "Z87 Revision 2".
Personally I would just stick with what you have.

I would say keep the formula. I think playing the waiting/guessing game always leads to doubt and uncertainty. You have awesome hardware, now make something awesome.

Hello
I just found out that the store that i bought my formula, has a sale on it. So my plan is to return my first formula and buy a new one. If the asus vii formula (z97) is much better, i can always return my asus vi formula. Is this a good plan?

The "Newer" formula will be coming out around the same time as the VI which will be roughly august to september.

If you buy the current formula you will NOT be able to take it back and say "I want the newer one" stores don't work that way.

Simple answer is, Do you want M.2 and Sata Express ? Support for the new CPU's coming out near the end half of year ?

If so then go the Z97 route and get a refund on your VI right now, If not then stick with what you have :)
