Asus PT6 Deluxe V2 won't boot

I moved my Asus PT6 Deluxe V2 motherboard into a new case and fitted a new cooler to the CPU (i7 920) and the thing refuses to boot. I always take care when handling components and to ensure the board wasn't shorting I removed it from the case and tried booting it on a bench with a single stick or ram and a graphics card only but nothing. I have tested the PSU is outputting the correct voltages with a PSU tester and that's fine. But there isn't even a beep out of the temporary speaker I fitted. The CPU fan spins up as does he graphics card and the on-board on/off and reset switches light up but it won't POST. Having tried 3 different sticks of ram and 2 different graphics cards I can only assume either the CPU or motherboard is damaged in some way. Is there a way to tell which one it might be?

You probably have and just not listed it but just to check, you have cleared the CMOS?

All I can think of atm. Only just got up, sorry.

Usually if it's the CPU, RAM or GPU you get a beep code so it could be the motherboard, try taking the CMOS battery out and disconnect all cables for about 10 mins, see if that works.

I had already cleared and reset the CMOS but I did it again and left it an hour this time. All to no avail sadly. I took my CPU to a local shop I use and they tested it and found it to be working so it looks like the motherboard is FUBAR'd. I hate Mobo RMA's :-( Thanks for your help guys.

The p6t v2 is a bit of a weird mobo, some of them have issues with the bios battery, i had to remove mine because if i leave it in, after a month the mobo decides to stop booting. Im running without a battery for quite a while now and it working fine, but as soon as i put it back in, i can count on it that the mobo will stop working again. take the battery out for a few hours with no power to the psu and then try again.
