Im about to order parts for my lan/server/extra rig and i was thinking about getting the ASUS P8P67-M PRO B3 P67 S-1155 M-ATX. Is this any good mobo for overclocking?

read some reviews of it and some had it stable at 5.1 ghz but the onboard heatsinks got to hot. It had a bit poor fps in games compared to other m-atx mb's. Think perhaps the maximus gene z is a better allrounder then this one?

Gene-Z is definitely a much better board, but it's so much more expensive.

Proud of myself that i could resist not getting the 2600k for this set up, hehe :-d

For gaming, I really doubt you'll need the higher performance from the extra threads of 2600K. But 2500K is a very good CPU nonetheless.

Haha. What cooler are you getting for this rig?

Yeah thats exactly what i was thinking also. Think i would do good with the 2400S 65W also, but i dont want to return products, because of shiping costs.

Ravious and Coca, we should get togetter and have some "coke" heheh :-)

How much OC headroom would you think a 2400S could give? It sounds more like an energy efficient CPU. Definitely go with the 2500K. Final decision on motherboard?

Here's a funny question, off topic: Do you prefer Pepsi or CocaCola?

Cheers to that.
