I believe this belongs in the MB section, not entirely sure. I will try to explain my problem as clearly as I can.
1. I have a usb sound card ( m-audio fasttrack) with the latest drivers installed.
2. When I flick a specific switch to turn on a fan in an adjacent bathroom, it disables my usb audio.
3. The device manager says the usb card is still working properly, but when I disable it then reenable, the sound comes back on.
4. I replaced the psu thinking there was an issue with power conditioning, no luck.
What can I do about this? That bathroom just happens to be my room mates and I would rather go without sound than smell the products of his daily adventures! Should I buy an external power conditioner? This only happens to this one device.
