ASUS Maximus V Gene Question

i know the ASUS Maximus V Gene has a mini pcie board to hold a a msata drive as well as a mpcie card. my question is can i use a Mushkin mSATA 240GB SATA III SSD as a os boot drive and install to it first setup on the board.
