Asus Maximus V Formula frontpanel audio issue

Hi guys. This is my second Maximus V Formula with this issue..

Whenever I bootup/reboot or shut down I get a zbiiiiip noise coming from my headset when I'm using the frontpanel 3.5 header. If I'm inside the bios the sound never goes away, excuse my language but it's PISSING me off.

It's only when I use the frontpanel header, and no it's not my cases frontpanel audio which is faulty because it's also my 2nd CM Trooper ~~

I have a concern it might be the onboard audio getting into conflict with some hardware? Anyone know a fix to this, or have this board with the same issue?

I want all my hardware to function 100% and this is just soo irritating.. Not acceptable for the amount of $ you pay for this board right?

If there's no fix to that, it's the last time I bought any Asus motherboard with "high end" onboard audio.

All inputs welcome!

Regards from Denmark

No, only the frontpanel

Could be an issue that a second case wouldnt solve though...
You tried with AC97 and HD audio? And made sure both those settings match on the BIOS?
Also, have you tried a BIOS update?

Yeah I know.. I had 2 Maximus boards now and 2 different CM troopers so :/ that didnt solve it.

I tried AC97/HD and I also have the latest bios now, done it on both boards, same issue

I will just deliver the board back and get an entirely different then. I'm not gonna pay for anything with a "bug" on. It's rubbish it's not "shielded" well enough to prevent these kind of interruptions from other hardware to happen with their "high end" onboard audio solutions -_-
