Anyone by chance seen if this board exists and is coming out ? I'm going MATX and would love to get the updated version of the Asus Maximus VIII Impact for Kabylake.

Well mini ITX ^_^
But yes I'm going small form factor, I don't need a big case/rig anymore, 1 PCI-E slot, An M.2 slot and 1 x SATA is all I need
The Strix is the only board on the road map now. and considering that was £200 they would need to charge £250 for an impact.
I think ROG this time around was the full retard boards and Strix became the Ranger and Impact end of things....
Anyways quick answer. Nothing in sight atm (and I asked again today just to make sure)

Ahh shame, Thanks for the info guv, I may have a look at the Strix with the built in M.2 passive cooler you did not so long ago then
Saw the Strix and was thinking if there was going to be a new Impact, shame if there isn't but TBH, do we really need the IX over the VIII?
I was going to get the VIII, even got a shiny block for it lol, shame if I don't, still using one of the older iterations, happily too.
The Strix does look nice though.

I'm happy with my build now but it's just too big for transport, I want to take it on in cabin luggage to make sure it doesn't get banged around and would be a hell of a lot easier with an MATX rig
