Asus Maximus 4 Extreme Intel I-7 990 Extreme

I really could use some help in deciding what memory to use on this system, what is best for performance and over clock.

I have been looking at the Coarsair CMG6GX3M3A2000C7 This memory has not been tested on this board?

1300MHz Tested 2000Mhz

Tested Latency 9-11-9-27

SPD Latency 9-9-9-24

1.65 V

Are these volts to high for 4 the CPU?

Called Asus they were not sure if this would work?

Called Coarsair they were not sure.

Please give me some advice on what memory to use. I have always run Coarsair.

the 1.65v are for the memory volatge not the cpu and yes 1.65volts is fine for memory most are rated at that voltage and 1.5 as well. But thats as high as ya wanna push ram voltages. As far as your other questions I'm afraid I cant answer. I'll do a google check and see if there are any post with someone using them if I were you that may help.

For starters the 990X and the Maximus 4 are not compatable. Mobo is 1155 and the CPU is 1366.

If this is your first rig matey start basic and learn before spanking loads of money on something you dont understand.

Thanks, about not matching. 1366 & 1156 well need a big hammer.

Returned the M/Board since I just purchased the I7 990x CPU.

Looking at the board it is very very nice. Really wanted to build it. Keep mu Asus Formula ll Extreme.
