Asus EAH 6950 DCII vs Gigabyte SOC 560

I'm building a €1300 rig for someone for gaming so it's pretty much 6950vs560

so i've looked up some comparisons but those are ofcoure the reference models, in those test the amd out performs the nvidia on stock clocks, and it's a draw with the OC, but if you're going to oc it to the maximum possible for 24/7 use, which is best ? the small, low power consuming 560 or the huge triple slot amd that looks way better aswell ?

Personally, I would go with the 560 just because it uses less power, runs cooler and is quieter. Performance wise there isn't that much of a difference for it to matter really and the 560 will OC better than the 6950 and still use less power and run cooler

That's my two cents anyway noise, heat and power consumption are more important to me than getting a few FPS more that I probably wouldn't notice anyway.

cant say it any better if I tried myself. I was currently considering upgrading my 560Ti to a 570 but after really looking at my choices (EVGA Stepup) I am going to stick with my 560Ti as IMHO it will blow the 570 out of the water. Cause the only 570 choice I get is for the 570HD.
