Asus and RMA....

just a rant on my experiences i have had with asus.... and i will NEVER be buying ANY of there products again.

so about a month ago i had to RMA my motherboard it was an Asus M4A78L, recieved instructions to include EVERYTHING that came with it, so sure yes i did that, the only sata cables i had, i sent them, the i/o shield driver CD and book + box (i keep everything) yesterday i recieved it back.....

excited, open to box to find a motherboard.... not even in an original box, no sata cables, no i/o shield, no drivers disk, no users manual.. but dont worry about that, they slipped in a book on there product range into the box... i hadn't had that mobo more than 6 months and i have owned it from new, why are they treating me like crap? is it the same with everyone?

i have RMA'd MANY products, take logitech for example, my mx518 died, they replaced it, and sent me stickers to say sorry, my speakers died, (7 years old) they gave me a voucer for 50% off ANY of there logitech speakers. NXXT, had a case fan shatter, they sent me four new fans, some stickers and a Tshirt.

well... thats it. i will NEVER be using them ever again.

i bought myself a Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H, WOW it is HUGE, i am VERY pleased with it, and have heard great things from gigabyte. just hoping my sound card doesn't die... because i sure as hell arn't going to bother with the RMA... its just not worth the time and effort.

/rant.

Bit of bad luck but I wouldn't not buy anything from Asus again because of it, if you think that is bad you should ask FoodStampz about his RMA'd 470

I'm sure as well that when you RMA you are only supposed to send just the motherboard.

Why not contact them and ask for your stuff back? Refer to the instructions that advised you to send everything with the board, and ask them to send the rest of the parts.

i had a ball ache of a time rmaing my p5nesli when the nic packed up on it, bought it from scan and they was useless so i took it up with asus and they was as fast acting as a glacier.

in the end they sent me another board that had obviously been used but said it was new :|

i switched to gb after that for most of my stuff and i was amazed by how fast they turned my rma around and how easy they was to work with, they even emailed me pictures of my board being tested and fixxed when i questioned them about what was wrong with it.
