asus 4870 1g d5, psu

i, i have a 450W power supply, and my asus 4870 dk requires a 550w minimum,

so the performance will not be like working with 550w? i mean is it a huge difference or just a lil

Wouldnt be suprised if it doesnt start, if it does youll be raping your psu, and either one of not both could go pop.

psu for overloading / gpu for bad quality power.

Really wouldnt bother unless you are gunna get a 600w+ PSU mate.

ok i have a question , now its working but i cant put every game in high setting....so if i got a better psu will it work on better performance or not?

Id advise you get a new power suply asap, its not that it wont work as well as it should, but more its got a possability to die and take the rest of your pc with it.

If its an unbranded one then i deffinatly wouldnt risk it in a million years, find a 550-650 watt one like corsair or ocz, if your on a budget ive been using a hiper for around 18 months but its still not the best to be honest.
