Hi guys so i got a ASUS Radeon R9 280X DirectCUII TOP 3GB and it looks like im having some artifact issues. i have looked into it and it seems its happening with alot of people. i have had the card for 2 days now this being my second and yesterday it was playing up really bad. Bf4 was having lots of issues and it was happening on my desktop chrome and in path of exile.

i have updated the drivers to the latest beta and non beta ones i have tried underclothing and putting fan speed up in case it was heat and it still happens.

do you guys have any other things i can try to solve this. i am also trying to take screen shots of it happening so i have proof for a RMA but for some reason when i take them the artifacts don't show up on the screen shots. any idea as to why this is going on could it be my monster or do i need to try something other then print screen.

thanks for the help and sorry for the essay.

Is it the regular edition or the Top? Last i saw on newegg the top edition is the card with all the issues and its Asus's problem. Not the card itself as all the other cards are fine.

My brother has the PC version and it has had no issues.
I would try to RMA it and get a different 280x from a different brand.

the original cable i had for the monitor was a hdmi cable and it worked fine on my old computer but this one it had really bad quality like the text was off. i am now using a dvi cable and it looks sharper but still artifacts i dont think its the monitor. i just put that in as a option because i cant seem to get a screen shot of it happening.

and yes it is the top edition.

i did some heat tests and the gpu got to 79 vrm1 got to 79 and vrm2 got to 28. that seems really silly to me.

the company i brought it from has a option to add some screen shots in the warranty clam. is there a way i can take the screenshots so i have broof. print screen dosent seem to show them.

thanks

You can use the snipping tool built into windows to save pictures and then print them? Type in the search bar snipping tool. You just click on it and take a picture.

ya it seems to be doing it all over chrome now so i got some screen shots. looks like ill rma it. are they replacing the card and giving new ones or just fixing the issue.

Its up to you and the kind of RMA. I would personally just go with the non top edition card and get the regular card or a different branded 280x.
