I know most here are PC but I own a mac as well as PC. The new macs look sharp and with boot camp you still have vista not tried 7 yet on my mac pro. maybe sunday i will try that. The new mac book finally added a Secure Digital (SD) memory card slot.

The new 13-inch MacBook Pros is available in two standard configurations. The $1,199 model has a 2.26GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of 1,066MHz DDR3 RAM, and a 160GB 5,400 rpm hard drive. The $1,499 model features a 2.53GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB of 1,066MHz DDR3 RAM, and a 250GB 5,400 rpm hard drive. Both models ship with the same Nvidia GeForce 9400M graphic chip (which was used in the aluminum unibody MacBook) that share 256MB of main memory

Since OSX, I've quite liked the Macbooks, particularly the unibody laptops. I don't believe that people who are fans of DIY PC wouldn't buy a macbook if they need a portable system as I strongly believe that the added premium for the macbook is justified by much more than the brand name and operating system. Anyone that appreciates the build quality of chassis from brands like Lian Li and Silverstone will also see the same appeal in the unibody Macbooks, when compared to other PC based laptops. Customer service is something that varies from person to person but Apple are arguably very strong here. Apple are also quite student friendly with their higher education discounts. :)

The new 13" MBP albeit a slight improvement over the 13" Unibody Macbook, looks promising and a $1199 RRP isn't so bad either.

It's not new news. I guess bob has included the quote & link for people that don't know about the new one's yet.

*edit* Just noticed where this is posted, and I agree it shouldn't be in this section of the forums >_< */edit*

I've got one of the new 13" MBP's, after briefly owning the 13" uMB, and I have to say, I really do like the extra battery life the new MBP now has.

I was going to install windows on it in bootcamp, but everything I use has an OSX version, and for the very few things I might need windows for, I've installed win7 in a virtual machine.

Oh and they've now updated the firmware to fix the 'bug' that was causing the sata controller to only run at 1.5gbps instead of the 3gbps it should do.
