Are these compatable together, help

Hi, I so am going to buy the:

-> Belkin F5D8232UK4 N1 Vision 300Mbps Wireless Router

-> Netgear DM111P ADSL2+ Modem

Are these 2 items compatable with eachother???

They look to be, just set the cable route to get DHCP or set static IP and have the adsl2+ modem as the gateway.

I use a Linksys AM200, and Linksys Gigabit cable router.

What do you mean by the calbe route?? I would be used that stated above items, the ADSL modem and the N1 Vision.

Its full name, as on the OcUK site.

Pretty much it has an RJ45 Wan port.

I was guessing you was going to do something like this

<ADSL2 Modem>cat5 wan port<Cable Router>cat5 lan ports<PCs>

Using the router as the firewall. Its what I, and it works well.

What are the Cat5 WAN & Cat5 LAN ports?? Sorry for asking but am not technical with regards to modems

its ok, we are here to help.

On the back of the belkin, you will see some ports. 4 Marked as LAN and 1 Marked as WAN. The WAN (Wide Area Network) port is what is commonly connected to the internet, or in your case, the netgear adsl modem's LAN (Local Area Network) port, as the netgeats WAN port is an rj11 style connector, which you will plug into the adsl splitter on your BT socket.

Hopefully you have an idea of what you are doing, other wise this method will likely cause you a few headaches, while its not hard, it is confusing.
