Arctic Cooling Accelero XTREME 4870X2 VGA Cooler

As above chaps, I have just got one of these but it was missing the second connector, so have had to put the PSU PCI-E connector in but i don't feel comfortable the way it is. The problem is the supplied connector is a 8 > 6 pin and the x2 requires a 8 pin. How have others got round this issue? And is it safe the way it is? Also, the last fan doesn't seem to do anything but the 2 GPU core fans are fine. How important is the last fan as my temps are 38 idle and max out at 63 with Warhead..

I have a different version, for my GTX 260. The third fan really needs to be moving. I didn't know you could power it with a molex, it should just have the usual fan connector which connects to the PCB of the graphics card.
