Apple seems to be all resolutionary now :p

Can't wait to try these out at a Apple Store

650m, IvyBridge, USB3.0 finally. Only thing I'm not really liking is the removal of the ethernet port. You need to use an adapter on a thunderbolt port. 1/4 thinner compared to old 15" mbp too. Lovely specs all around. Too bad the starting price is $2199.

hadn't noticed the internet port is missing. I don't think it has ac support eighter

no point in having a thin, lightweight notebook if you have to cary 5 accessoiries with you

same as the other fellas, yes the port might be faster, but at the same time your making it less practical

Still don't think the inclusion of ivy bridge and usb 3.0 warrant such a big price tag, i bet the ivy bridge processor they use in the starting price model which is already ridiculos is very mid range, even lower range

Psssht. As much as I like my MacBook Pro, I can't say I like the step that Apple's made with this one.

I like the new Ivy Bridge Processors, and I like how they've been made even smaller now.

What I don't like is the lack of a 17" model and the price, which is even more ridiculous than before.

Also, such resolutions would be great if you had a big screen that you were kind of close to. Having the Retina display on a 15" screen seems silly to me, as I doubt there shall be any real discernible difference.

tis a fair point, the difference between ipad 2 and the 3 (or 'new' ipad whatever) was staggering, but surely this display will scale even better and large sized displays? like the dell 30" they did with 2880 x 1080

Was looking for to some sort of update on the imac's as well, my early 2006 model is showing its age. Looks mint but is very slow at times. Maybe Apple will do a silent update
