Anything better than the NH-D14

Not in my opinion but i believe there is a user on here that thinks so,

but all our preference i guess...

yeah its like a swear word around here ha ha its about the same as the nhd-14 but its a lot more fuss and bigger = not ideal

not yet...but still waiting to see real world test review DATA on beQuiets' "Dark Rock Pro" against NH D14.

Real world = same equipment test bed, same number of fans on test bed and cooler, same volts and clocks until one out performs the other cooler...etc.

yeah its not cheap going watercooling, im just about finished gathering parts to set my own loop up but cause of mates etc its in the end costing me about £20

It depends what your trying to cool, any AMD cpu with your budget, I'd go water cooling, you'll easily pick up a block, pump and slim triple rad for £100, then you just need is barbs, tubing and a bottle of halfords de-ionised battery top up water.

If its a I7 then your really going to want a better radiator and good fans which is when it starts to get pricey, so the NH-D14 i suppose is the best bet for the I7's

I wouldn't say the H50 is better than the D14, there is not enough tubing (=> liquid inside) to be able to cope with the heat for a long time. Oh and the Rasa 120 kit, it's alright but just a 120mm radiator is not going to cut for a high overclock, if you ask me. It is not going to able to reach the temperatures of the D14. Also take the quietness of the D14 into account, I mean the H50 fans are load so may want to seperate fans for it, and at that price point you could just get the D14.
