Anyone Tried Prey?

I was just browsing the apple games site for demos and I notice Prey just won the Best of show at the Macworld SF 2007.

I'm not really into single player games etc, but it would test out my x1900xt on OSX properly I guess

It sort of reminds me of doom3/quake4 tho and both of those games were rubbish.

Ah well will have to keep looking for a better native osx game with good graphics

What annoys me is I have 4 or 5 pc games that are supposed to work on the mac, but 4 of them require buying the mac version (surely it's just the bin like linux? ) and the one that is supposed to work (warcraft3) just crashes the only game I have working with unibin is quake3 and that's old and can't be played online as it's a different version to most servers.

I could try UT2k3/2k4 but I don't really like them much

Prey was ok at first but it was short lived - try the demo tbh. Going upsidedown was a short lived gimmick imo but the storyline seemed interesting

I liked prey more than Doom3!

I found it very clever and some really cool tricks.

I recommend have a go at least!

I cancelled my subscription for that game

only played it for a few months when it was released, takes up too much time and gets a little annoying at times. I was thinking of getting the expansion just to try it on mac osx as then at least it won't have warden running, spying on everything.

I played PREY at WSVG and it sucked horribly. Im not a big fan of the Doom3 games (Doom was in a level on its own) just not Doom3. Prey= Quake4+Doom3.

I think they are trying to get more games tho, they have WoW which I understand is massively popular with Mac users (not surprising tho, considering the spyware and rootkits involved in the pc version).

Is Prey that one where aliens come down whilst u`r char is in a bar and they abduct every1. Ur an indian thingy with people on a machine being pulped and u try save u`r g/f (barmaid) and whatever.

Well, I aint one to badmouth a software company (rollseyes), but that one should have the case the game came in double up as a house ornament, so atleast u can feel like u`ve bought something u can use past the first day.
