Any new ideas on oil cooling ?

It used to be promising, but now I can't find it anywhere.
Well, outside a version of immersion cooling, but that's not what I'm looking for.

Is anyone doing liquid cooling with oil as a heat transfer medium ?

Well i know it’s possible but imsure it was tried by linus ages ago and it’s simply not worth doing at all was his results same with submerging cause it will eat at components over time make it very not worth doing on expensive hardware thou as a hobby interest sure on basic stuff but if anything was really more viable don’t you realise it would be exactly what everyone would be doing…

As I said, this was a submersion cooling, which is not what I'm looking for.

I'm talking about liquid cooling just like watercooling but using oil instead of water.

Yes that is also what i was talking about the issue is it still damages components as it’s thicker so eats at things via friction causing issues and the benefits are not worth the effort in terms of materials used you could do full copper tubes very custom but then still pump issues etc so as a long term way not generally viable or cost productive compared to current state where not much difference and far lower cost and the materials can be used in a better way if it was more viable then it would only increase the costs of everything cause they need that material for certain in many better use cases hence why plastic is common and oil based so you see the reasons just in that for companies to avoid doing so.
