Hi people i am currently going for my second build and am currently looking for a Matx case which has a laptop style slim-drive.

Is there any out there?

It has to be a small case as i it being used for a desktop pc and im not that bothered about it having a mass amount of fans as it is not going to have powerful hot running hardware. Mainly for Word processing, Photo editing etc

The spec im building is:

Gigabyte GA-73VM-S2 Mobo

E1200 @1.6ghz

1gb Ram

160gb 16mb Cache Western Digital Scorpio Black Laptop hd

Xp Pro OS

Are there any cases out there that meet my demands or are there better options?

All coments and advice is much appreciated,

Links would be helpful,

Thanks in advance

Isn't the gigabyte a mini atx not a micro atx !!!!

If so the cases would be no good ... or am i wrong ...

The cases above would take a micro ATX only this would not allow for such a board esp with the distance between the PCI express and the two PCI slots ... as this extends the board beyond a micro atx format ...

If you are going mirco atx i would recommend a Zotac instead as they are much better boards.

an right .. just got me all confused looking at the pix and one dum web site saying mini itx spec lol ....

There are some stupid websites out there, one evn telling me that they do not exists when i have one now!

The spec im going for is laptop with a Matx board as i like the low noise, low heat setup rather than a hot running hard-drive. I figured that with me wanting a small factor case i needed to keep the heat down.

Soz for the confusion about the board:)

Ye i agree with the second option very nice looking. I thought i had a battle trying to find one but this seems to be the best case so far so reps!

:D

Thanks for that, yeah it is a smart looking case, obviously i couldnt comment on the build quality though. But bang for buck it looks good. There are other versions of it out there though, so check before buying as the older version doesnt look as nice ;)
