antec 300 front panel grounding

I have an Antec 300...and sometimes when I close the side panel while the system is running or just touch the case while plugging in a USB device, I cause an immediate crash (i.e., screen freezes) . I've been googling around and it looks like Antec cases circa '08 have weird grounding issues. The front USB and audio panel is indeed grounded to the case...and I do have fuzzy socks. Same thing happened today as I was giving the antec h2o a spin... Weird eh? What do you guys think? I'll try unplugging the front panel stuff from the motherboard and see if the problem persists.

I disconnected the front panel stuff and rubbed my feet on the ground. After touching the case, the system is still OK.

Looking around (i.e., on the Antec website), I noticed a lot of USB/Audio panels have the ground connected to the case. I also noticed more than one person complaining on some forum about crashing their computers after touching their case or audio static....Great design...
