I said i can run Unigin perfectly, 30FPS and up. how much more tesselation do you need.

also they are more than suped up 4xxx series, they are a whole different bread of card. that is like saying the GTX580 is just a suped up GTX280. That is stupid what you said.

and look at the bench results and comparison of the 4870 and 5870.

mm, the architecture is similar with 4000's and 5000's and it said to basicaly be twice everything and tweek'd a little. Double the cores etc. It has a smaller manufacturing process that makes that possible. Logic is the basics of electronics

6970 replaces it as the single gpu flagship. The 6950 is equal performance

i aided the thought here. because the 6950 can render tesselation properly so performance isn't equal

i know the 6970 is faster, its just not by much.

yup, 5870 is still a good card. I think what Jerome is trying to say, when Tessellation HEAVY titles come out, obviously the 6000 series cards will really shine. But at that point, it will probably be time to upgrade anyway. Unigen is tesselation heavy, and if your pleased with the benches, then thats great.
