An alternative use for the Raven RV-03 HDD bays

Hi just wanted to share this

If you decide you dont want to put your HDD's in the front bays on the Raven RV-03 you can take them out and find other devious uses for them.

I had quite a problem when i ran out of space in my cooler master silencio 550, im using this as a server.

So i decided to see if a full 3 hdd bay with fan holders could fit in the 3, optical bays. And after dismounting the hot swap bay that i never found a use for in a server hidden away in a closet, so i tried mounting it, and fit like a glove, just gave it a little push and it lines up perfectly with mounting holes and everything. If i didnt know any better i would say that Silverstone and Coolermaster collaborated about this, "hey if someone buys a Raven RV-03 and a Silencio 550, lets give him some more options, if he needs it". Marvelous:D

My cosair H80 fits right into the space left open when you dismount both HDD trays, you cannot fit an optical drive when its mounted there, but who needs one of these anyway, you can however fit one or two extra fans to the front if you want to, i have only fitted one extra, to blow some air over my psu and feed some air to the ram sticks.

Here you can see from the front how it just fits really snug in there, i just need to mount a dust filter there, imagine that wont be too taxing.

And theres room to mount a second fan, inside the case if you feel like you dont have enough air going through.

So there we go, a cheap case, turned into a 10 3,5" drive server monster!

Great day, saves me the trouble of going out and replacing the case, gives me room for 3 more drives in the server, and ends up making noctua sell me at least 1 more fan

, also now thinking about sliding that hot swap in my main rig, probably find some more use for it there instead of in the pc parts closet, collecting dust.

p.s. If someone allready posted something like this ages ago, i apologize, im new to these forums and havent really bothered to read through the whole cases section.
