I can see the problem being that if Ryzen doesn't live up to the hype, and people have been waiting for it to upgrade, they could just go with intel and nvidia because they are fed up with the wait
Well on that, it might not be as good as the hype, but unlike with vishera we are actually seeing it in action before we get the chance to buy it, with what asus have shown for an amd board equal to a z270 board then its not looking bad.
But at the end of the day some peoples hype will always be more then what any company can deliver. As for people who have waited for amd flipping, mm i doubt it in the main part. Ppl have waited since vishera for an upgrade, and after waiting that long i dont see them jumping to intel just because it might not beat outright a £1100 cpu.
As for vega who knows, its an unknown, on paper its black magic to me, but if anything amd gpus are doing something wierd right now, there getting better with age, mostly due to software changes but we are in strainge times right now.
