Ok the pics are confirmed.. but are the specs WYP? That's literally been the same spec sheet rollin around for about a month with rumored articles;)

Because they're useless once you get past 1080p 60fps.

I thought it was just for standardisation reasons - phase out the old and bulky connectors and just have hdmi and displayport. Though what I would like to know is if they can phase all of them out for usb 3.1.

No. 3.1 isn't fast enough. The only USB standard that has the potential to do so would be USB type-C. They are out at the same time but Type-C will end up winning.. it does everything better.

I cant belive that people are bitiching about the design, about the size, that its a AIO...... damn kids... this sounds like a bunch teens that check out the new girl in class and diss her as much as they can.

I like that AMD has been brave enough with this AIO and I like that they try something new with a smaller card. Who does NOT have a space for a 120mm rad?

I cant wait for AMD to relase this so Nvidia has to do a price drop so they can stop to rape our wallets.

I don't mind the AIO, my only tiny issue is the braiding as it looks like another 8 pin and the fact that rad/fan are so damn thick. Many people don't have room for it.. if you have an AIO in the roof like I do for example, I don't think that rad would fit in the rear of my PC because it will be up against the top AIO.

I don't have space for an AIO either, and as the non watercooled Fury will be of the non-exhaust type this card simply won't be for me.

Good luck to AMD and all who invest in it.

Did you miss something? AMD are releasing three Fury cards. This one (the Nano) and two other air cooled cards.

Asus recently showed a render of their triple fanned Strix cooler for Fury.

i actually thought that asus triple cooler would be for the 980ti?

No they showed a render in the dark with the red lights on for the AMD version dude.

But then there's nearly 300 pages worth of talk on OCUK forums so I guess you don't go there.

But yeah, honestly guys don't sweat it. There is going to be a 980ti 'version' a Titan X 'version' and possibly something in between or slower. Three cards.. An XT, a Pro, and a Nano (the one you're looking at with the rad on).

I think AMD are just showing off because there is no way you can fit a Titan X or 980ti on a board that size due to all of the VRAM you need. HBM is like two tiny chunks and that's it.

Actually 4:)

I was only speaking loosely dude. The first image of the core I saw was smothered in thermal paste so I could only see two but yeah, there is four but they are absolutely tiny and stacked around the core so they take up next to no room.

Watching the Livestream reveal at the moment.

Apparently the R9 Fury X has 1.5 times the performance per watt compared to the R9 290X.

They have also announced the R9 Fury Nano which also apparently has 1.5 times or 2 times the performance per watt of the R9 290X whilst being in a 6" card.

The thing that they constantly are going on about is memory bandwidth, but to me if the gpu doesn't have the grunt to use that bandwidth it's, not going to make much difference although I could be wrong.

No price has been said that I have heard yet but they mentioned "This Summer"

***Update***

The watercooled version of the card has a 500w cooling system to keep the die at 50c and around 19db quieter than the R9 290X

Release date is 24th June 2015 as long as I heard correctly and the watercooled card will be $649 and the air cooled version apparently will be $549.
