Anyway.. All a bit fancy for my liking... Whoever gives one a code name like Bognor Regis will get a thumbs up from me.

And let's be honest, that's their long term ambitions. A thumbs up from me.

Could be all about timing.

I mean the news says about the newer Intel socket will dawn with the server?? aimed rev and the user market following a long time afterwards. We`re looking at early 2009?

Even so, it`s a new mobo for that once the user gets their gums ready for it.

Now, being that u have to buy a new mobo for ur Intel, along come AMD with some teasing cpu revelations, aimed to fit in the old socket aswell as newer mobos. So, u can drop in the cpu and upgrade the mobo at ur leisure, if not at the same time.

G34 for buisness, a while after Intel have released theirs maybe ?

It could turn out that Intel pip them to the buisness scene and AMD pickup the user slack.

All this is going to span 2009 to 2010, hehe get some cheap 775 stuff in at the time and w8 out to see the performance champions.

Nah AMD with the AM3 setup is going price to performance like with their current stuff. Being backwards compat with Am2+ systems and DDR2 makes guys like me really happy and we will continue to purchase AMD chips as long as they do this. This is just to combat Nehalem at a later date.
