AMD's Ryzen CPU lineup has been leaked

I don't know anything about CPU optimisation, but it makes sense that likely 90% of the games if not more were built using Intel systems.

A few years ago i would have agreed, but with amd getting into consoles and ryzen is appaerntly going tobe in the new consoles aswell as the current gen then that changes things dramatically.

Simply because most pc games are built for console and then ported over, then i dont see how developers would go for intel over amd when it would damage the console games aswell.

Yeah, that makes sense. I don't know if it'll work that way, but it makes sense in my mind.

Again you are not understanding what binning is.
It makes NO SENSE to disable threads when you have perfectly working cores....

idi u tri pm

i understand what you want to say but try to understand what i want to say, this is not intel core but new ryzen core that may be made in that way so you can disable thread and loose half cache but still have working core without smt. there was times when athlon was same as phenom without L3,remember?

i have not come here to explain myself or to fight with people, in first post i simply stated that i read this somewhere and that this could be true, and i agree with that source that this would make more sense(if true at all) than simply slicing half cores.

as that alien dude says on begining that this stuff is all speculation.

Surely the only sensibly possible comparison the chart makes is price?

We know that they can match i7 with these chips, so that leaves price rather than performance being the only thing that makes sense.

A midrange 6 core 12 thread cpu for the price of an i5? If they run cool enough Intel have serious competition I think, they will have to drop cpu prices long term.

They still remain confident, though, at least publicly. Either that's damage control or they know something we don't.
