Very nice. I hope they'll be similarly priced to the listed Intel counterparts. 4c8t for the price will be a steal of the IPC is there, or even the 6c12t would be extremely tempting.

interesting there is no 8c8t parts that someone told will be.

Would be pretty pointless??

A lot of SKUs. Very nice. They said all will launch on the same day, they must have amazing yields already and have been in mass production for a while now.

While it seems they got everything down for a successful launch.. my only issue is the naming scheme. Yikes. It's absolutely horrible.

Very nice now let hope they will be competativly priced

Yup. We've seen the evidence, we've seen the line up now it comes down to brass tacks. Wheat from the chaff and all of that.

What I do find exciting though is that they are releasing _three_ 6 core CPUs. That seems to me like they are launching all out warfare on Intel at every part of the spectrum of perf/price.

But yeah, money talks BS walks and all that SHOW ME THE PRICE ! :D If one of those 6 core CPUs costs around the same price as Intel's I7 7800k then shots have been rained down :D

Prices will be competitive. I mean.. with so many SKUs, it will literally fill every available market bracket multiple times.

Still annoyed with that naming scheme though.. lol

I also don't really like the naming scheme but I guess they wanted to use something similar to Intel's. Granted it doesn't really effect me since I got an i7-6700k last April so unless Ryzen absolutely destroys my 6700k I will not be in the market for a new CPU for a few years.
Also WYP you have 2 R5 Pro 1600's in the table, one should be an R5 Pro 1500.

Yeah it's kinda 2004 lol. The names seem to have come directly from their range of GPUs.

Again I remind people that this is all speculation until AMD say so. So anything you say in these threads or any reply is all pure speculation.

Which of course is all part of the fun :)

Nice line up, but the groups of 4 make me wonder, we know there all unlocked, and there all going tobe binned, but how much difference can there really be between the top binned and the bottom of the groups of 4.

But something that i think is in that list is the fact they arnt just cpus, maybe the apus are in there too.

I think the naming is pretty much on, they are making a clear statement which Intel processors are being competed with.
We already know that performance is gonna be good so now it comes to pricing and if they can get that right as well then it is going to be great for everyone as intel will need to lower their pricing.

Yeah it's clear compared to Intel, but the numbers and Pro.. just. No. It's far more than what it needs to be. Should be simplified down. I know when people come here to ask which CPU to get, I'm going to have a tough time remembering what is what

No dual cores!!! Amd is doing it right!

As for the naming scheme, yeah it looks a lot like intel, but it has also worked very well for intel, given time and i hope a lot of succes, it will work for amd as well.

There can be quite a large difference tbh. AMD have been binning forever now, especially when they were doing their Centurion FX chips. Remember, that the CPU overclocks itself with Ryzen by heat and volts. So basically the better your cooler the higher the CPU will auto overclock itself. And some will run cooler than others etc, so the boost clocks will probably be the biggest difference between SKUS. Obviously when you manually overclock that all goes out of the window but lots of people don't overclock so that is probably why the amount of different CPUs.

The smart money will probably be on the cheapest in each category and then learning how to overclock them. Just like with the FX series now. There was a large difference for example between the FX 8320E and the FX 8370 yet still plenty of people bought the latter.

I got 4.9 and 5.1ghz out of my two 8320s.

Well it's not 2006 any more. :)

I have no problem with the naming scheme as long as the specification differences are distinguishable. Some of these CPU's could be specifically targeting at system builders or laptops while the others are aimed at enthusiasts.

I don't know if Intel will lower their prices if RyZen beats Kaby Lake. I think they'll just make better CPU's.
