AMD tease a Dual GPU card, Is it the R9 290X2?

Reading through my previous comments I sound like a right Nvidia fan boy :l. I'm just not trusting of AMD at all at the moment. Considering how long they held onto the stock cooler only for 290/290x I really feel that they are just going to do something daft again. Not that I'm not incredibly tempted to get one for me next build ;).

-edit- I want a Sapphire Toxic 290x2. It'd be daft but Sapphire would be the only company who could make a decent cooler that removes the heat problem completely.

whenever you criticize anyone you will be called a fanboy. defense mechanisms.
i don't trust AMD either though, they have a talent for starting cool things and then messing them up. they really need to fire their marketing department.

I'm a fan of good hardware, regardless of brand name, but I still hate marketing in general, since most of it is stupid and completely unnecessary. No nerd worth his/her salt gets sold on marketing. They get sold on research and proper enthusiast info from guys like Tom. :)

I still don't see these dual GPU cards being much use to a poor guy like me, so I don't rag on the hardware, just the marketing.

we don't make up the majority of the buyers, that's why stupid ads appealing to newbs exist.

Did they just take their info from my musings (see earlier)?
If its true then I really look forward to the next few months :o

I didn't think they would manage it on an air cooler tbh. I think it is a shame Asus haven't used the Poseidon cooler instead of the one in the pic though.
Acording to that article it's within the next few weeks, so i'm guessing it's not long before a certain review gets one :D

Seems there's not one, but two excellent radiator substitutes on the way. Whoever is to buy either the 790 or 290X2 or whatever it's called ain't going to have too much trouble heating the place come the winter time. ^_^

i think the AIO radiator solutions for GPUs will get popular pretty soon, it really is odd that we prefer to cool our CPUs with an AIO kit while still using air coolers on our GPU. they are the main source of heat in the case and noise.
i suppose things like the nzxt kraken g10 just don't look as good, but if more manufacturers would pull off things like the ares II card, i'd be intrigued.
/edit
they really just have to release the xspc razor with a 240mm radiator closed loop, i'd be all over that.

I think it is a good idea for one GPU to use an AIO but can you imagine it with several cards.

yea i suppose that would look odd and the case wouldn't be able to support more than two.
maybe if the loops were extendable like the swiftech h220 it would work.

i prefer single GPU builds in matx cases to 900d 3way sli/cf builds anyways though.
