AMD Teases R9 Fury X2 GPU

Didnt realize the 950 was tested in this thread. Was in reference to a different leak I read.

AMD showed a video of it dude (the game, not the card) and it was set to 60hz VSYNC. So yeah, as I say, that could be a card twice the power of the Titan X they were only demonstrating power use @ 60 FPS basically.

I honestly do not know why they would be releasing this now, considering Polaris isn't really that far away and you are probably going to get the same performance, for far cheaper and use less power.

Granted it will be good for ITX builds but why not just come out with a Dual Polaris cored card instead.

As for textures etc, I think it was Joker Productions that did a video regarding Rise Of The Tomb Raider, and how you could turn down the textures to the minimum and it would drop the Vram usage by around 50% iirc and although, it did look different but not a massive difference, and it didn't seem to affect the performance.

Other games though such as Black Op's 3 if you turn down the settings to the lowest at 4K, iirc it still will use all the vram available just for the sake of it and I have noticed that in other games to which to me just seems stupid.
Yeah, I'm curious to see why they have delayed the Fury X2 for so long considering they are hyping Polaris up already. I wonder whether you'll be able to get Fury X2's for €700 like you could the 295X2 after a few months of it being out.

Honestly don't see the point of this card as it's so late coming out with Polaris and Pascal so close to release.

Also, there is always the issue of Crossfire and SLI being so poorly supported, the extra heat generated, and the huge power consumption from dual Fury X chips, something my power supply can't handle. Even if the Fury X2 is more powerful than a single Polaris flagship at the same price, I'd rather have the Polaris flagship.

Only as power hungry as a single fury x so it won't be that bad. It only has two 8 pins. It's more than likely two nano cores

I didn't think of it that way. You could be right. Two Nano's with a water cooler would be pretty nice. It might also keep the cost down as they won't have to overclock to 1050Mhz.
