I can't wait to see now what NVidia are going to come out with to be on a level footing to that, it will probably be the Titan for its main competition I would of thought.

Please bear with us, some recent changes to the site back end have made making the article live... problematic.

We will hopefully fix this issue soon.

You broke it, didn't you?? Come on admit it.... :p

Not pointing any fingers....Sub, haha.

He has been working in some amazing changes to the site, we just have a few little niggles to sort out.

Issues have been fixed, thank you all for patiently waiting

Good write up. Unfortunately I won't be upgrading my graphics card any time soon, so will have to imagine the twins are something else :p (Maybe it I marker pen the heatpipes, can pretend its a Matrix then :p)

If they are a bit faster for quite a bit more money it'll be a complete change from the usual. Imagine that, AMD having the fastest but most expensive and Nvidia being very reasonably price/performance.

What a mind f**k that'd be.

Looking forward to seeing these monsters. I still wonder on the truth behind the leaked charts.
Which card it was referring to I do not know, but a 300W card that maintains a 73C temp could be impressive unless it was hybrid water cooling.

C'mon AMD, release the krackens!

Also the 380 and 380x are actually Refreshes of the 290/290x respectively

What's with that, they are making the 380x that is the actually a 290x... what does it mean, they aren't doign anything after all to compete against the 970

If the 290X gets a price cut, then they are doing something against the 970.

See 7970/280x. Both Nvidia and AMD tend to use the last gen flagships as bang for buck/second fastest lineup cards.

The 290x is as fast as the 970 in some situations and probably will end up being on par with it if they can pull off what they did in the past with driver improvements.

There is nothing wrong with refreshes. If you have a good product and need a new spin on things whilst adding a smaller performance bump then that is fine. Also helps to catches the consumers eye on their "latest" models.

Its like selling a Forde Modeo with a new body design while keeping the engine the same or giving it a few HP more. It will still get peoples attention even if they know the car is practically the same as last years model.

Nvidia do the same also. However while these might be refreshes, their flagship cards are mostly certainly not. Every year I hope for an Nvidia killer that will try to stay on top. Lets hope the 390x or 395x2 will do it.

Probably you didn't get my point. If the r9 380x is just a 290x, than what's the point of launching a new GPU which is a factor in global warming again? The gtx 970 is somewhere between the 780 and 780ti, but it has all the benefits of the Maxwell architecture, while this 380x/290x won't because it's old. It's such a bummer.

I'm going to be gutted, always late to the GPU party, just getting the 295X2!

Dicehunter will be giggling, I sense an upgrade with this one. Anybody wanting a reference 980, be prepared for one to go up in FS&W soon!

Nvidia did the same with the 670/760, 680/770. The 290x has all the stuff the new card will have. Freesync, true audio etc etc

Hell no, Gonna be sticking with the 980 until Nvidia bring out a better version, Titans not included though.
