Seriously, gamers should be able to spend $200 on a GPU. iGPUs should be able to fill the lower end. There shouldn't be any lower end 'cards' than the RX 480 in terms of pricing. I'm not saying the RX480 is low end or anything, but seriously!

Really? There are plenty of people that can't afford a beefy GPU mate.

There needs to be cheap options, even if it is just for a multi-monitor office PC.

I'm not telling people to go buy a GTX 1080. It's just $200, and for a gamer, that should not be a problem. You can build a PC for less than $500 with a RX480. You can probably even go lower than that.

And yet the fact still remains not a lot of people can afford even $200.

There's a lot of free space between an iGPU/APU and an RX480, might as well fill it. There are plenty of people who don't need RX480 performance but still more than what an iGPU can offer. The 150$ segment i'd still consider worth exploring, anything <100$ is most likely a waste of money.

You sound like a rich kid, when you say "just $200". Either way you're coming off as a douche right now. Some people CAN'T spend $200 on a GPU, but would like to be able to play games just the same. Just because you're a gamer, doesn't mean you can take $200 out of your budget for a PC part.

Those 'people' can use iGPUs or APUs. 'Gamers' should spend the $200.

wtf are u talking about? are you mad now that even people with less money can afford a good gaming pc ?

you can still buy Titan Black on 4way SLI for $5K and be proud about that. i will buy my four RX480 on crossfire for $800 and get better performance.

What are you babbling about? Nobody's getting this it seems.

I'm not telling anyone to stop gaming. I'm saying, get the RX480.

From the POV of AMD, any 'card' below it is not worth and should not exist which could be a threat to AMD's APU market. AMD can exploit that market with APUs. Otherwise people will get the Intel chips with low-end AMD cards. Wouldn't it better if AMD could fill that with APUs, instead of giving half of revenue to Intel? Intel won't have a GPU to compete with AMD, so people will have to go with the APU.

So now you are fighting over $50??? OMG!

No, that's what you're doing. You're saying that there shouldn't be ANY GPUs with a cost lower than $200, which is why everyone is so eager to tell you that you're just plain wrong.

There's plenty of market between APUs and the RX480, but I guess you just too ignorant to see it.

EDIT: I could make the same argument with a $100 card
